Hike or Strike... All in a basket of grape!!

This was a Quote by one of the commentators in todays AXA IPL match which got over today. Yes its correct ever pig head is waiting for their hike papers.. why is that?

Yes its your own money your waiting for. Its our bread, it is a deciding factor to many things in life and proffession. We have worked the whole 365 days and have been waiting for a day when our manager would call you and say

Man you have done a great work. Here is your Hike papers

The condition in office is more funny than I can express. Everyday you go to office you find your collegue comming up to you and asking. Hey macha any news about the hike papers? Hey Macha what would be the hike percentage this year? Hey dude I have heard your team would get the papers first...

Well thats how people keep waiting for their papers.. Why is this scenario?? any reason to this..

According to me there could be many reasons but the main few reasons are:

1. The company does not pay you well
2. You are waiting to jump according to the pay you get
3. You just cannot live with the current money you get.

There are general thoughts. Now why does the company wait to give the Hike to its employees. Are they not eager to give something back to the employees that helped them?

Reasons could be:

1. The company is just trying to stop you from moving to another company
2. Opening in other companies close by the time I give out the Hike papers(strategy)
3. The company keeps the interest percentage it gets from holding the hike

Now there could be many more reasons for all this.. will discuss about this in details once you guys post in your comments..
