I have a lot of friends who ask me about House boats which are very famous in kerala. Yes its indeed very famous in Kerala.
But most of the people dont know how it works and how would they get to contact people to hire a Boat.
Wouldnt you want to know how big a boat would be and how much would it cost you?
Well do read on to know more about it.. The pic you see is a house boat in which I and my family went for a days trip. It was a single family boat house which had a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and a open are where you could enjoy the whole scenary. Well this was from Alleppey, Kerala that we started the journey and went up till Cochin and back to Alleppey. This Boat house cost was 5000 Indian Rupees in 2009. Now it would be around 7000 to 8000 for a day which includes welcome drink, Lunch and tea. Food is really delicious as they get fresh fish from the sea or from small boats which bring in delicious fishes.
Well you got to see the bedrooms and kitchen too which they provide. Its just awsome with AC rooms too. You feel at home. Thats the main attraction.. You would love to go back and enjoy the beauty once again.
There are many kinds of boats like single Bedroom, double bedroom then 3 bedroom which would cost you 25,000 to 30,000 as per your requirements. They even provide double decker boat houses. It could be used for party purposes.
